Jumps action on Tuesday comes from Exeter and Newcastle, while later in the evening there's action on the all-weather at Wolverhampton. Here are our best racing tips, starting with a potential improver at Exeter.
March Is On to Win and Each Way @ 5/1 - BET NOW
Jonjo O'Neill's string are starting to fire and, with Cheltenham just around the corner, the aptly-named March Is On is fancied to open his account under rules at Exeter. An Irish point-to-point winner, he was slow to get going after arriving at Jackdaws Castle, with little of note in four-race spring/summer campaign last year.
He took a notable step forward at Warwick in December, however, on his return from a break, finishing a close second of 13 in a 2m5f handicap hurdle on good to soft ground. The form of that race looks relatively strong, with the winner and third successful twice since.
Jonjo O'Neill Jnr retains the ride here and, having shown his ability to go well fresh already, March Is On looks sure to be primed for another big run. The consistent Rosemary Russet is potentially the rival he has most to fear - she is proven over three miles - but with his point win suggesting the trip won't be a concern, March Is On shades the verdict.
Kavanaghs Corner to Win and Each Way @ 8/1 - BET NOW
Despite having just the one success on his CV at 10-years-old, it might pay to side with Kavanaghs Corner here, as his sole success was over both over C&D and emphatic in nature. He achieved that breakthrough here last April (coming home 22 lengths in front of a rival that won his next two either side of a break at Fontwell) and was then put away for the summer. The win came on heavy going, so any rain will be in his favour, but he's shown himself to be just as effective on the forecast good to soft conditions.
He's had two runner-up finishes and a third from his three runs this season, including in this grade at Uttoxeter on his reappearance in November. Those efforts suggest a handicap mark in the early 90s isn't going to stop him winning again. He may be 10,but is a veteran of only 17 racecourse starts and has made the frame in six of his other nine chase runs outside of his win here. With that being his only previous Exeter visit, a return to this venue might be enough to spark his appetite for more so he's a worthy inclusion in our racing tips.
Krystallite to Win and Each Way @ 10/1 - BET NOW
Scott Dixon's mare is a four-time winner over the C&D at Wolverhampton. She comes back from a winter break and is on the same mark as when close second here in October. She likes to make the running, so a draw in stall 10 is not ideal, but that is factored into the racing betting and Theodore Ladd can get her out quickly.
She need not necessarily lead from post-to-post, as there will be plenty of pace on with Poeta Brasileiro and Hello Girl in the line-up, and she has won in the past from a prominent position. She's also got a more-than-fair record when racing after a break, including a first-time-out win here, so the 104-day layoff isn't a major worry.
