There is plenty of midweek action for punters to get their teeth into, with five meetings in Britain joining Gowran Park in Ireland.

There's jumps action at Worcester and Newton Abbot to go alongside Flat racing at Beverley, Salisbury and Kempton Park on the all-weather – where we start today's racing tips.

Arlecchino's Arc to Win and Each Way @ 6/1 – BET NOW

A gelding by Arcano, it is fair to surmise that Arlecchino's Arc didn't achieve a lot in four outings as a two-year-old at up to a mile in the second half of last year. He returned early in the spring, seemingly much stronger physically and improved for the step up in trip to middle distances.

Having shown that improvement on his reappearance at Chelmsford, he picked things up still further when going down less than a length over 1m2f at the venue in March and, the following month, he lost out only by a neck over the same C&D.

Trainer Mark Usher has given him a summer break and he's now coming back to action at Kempton where he'll tackle a mile and a half for the first time in his career. The cheekpieces are back on now and Arlecchino's Arc looks the sort to be getting his head in front from a mark of just 53 before too long, ensuring he looks a decent shout at racing odds of 6/1 in the finale at Kempton.

6.40 Gowran Park

Passing Trade to Win and Each Way @ 4/1 – BET NOW

Michael Mulvany's filly by Raven's Pass has found the penny dropping recently. She delivered an improved performance at Ballinrobe in June when just foiled over 1m2f in finishing second and backed that run up by scoring next time out at Bellewstown over a mile.

A step up in class didn't stop her from running an improved race at the Galway Festival where Passing Trade was a close third in a bunched finish, having gone up 5lb for winning previously.

She's been inched up another 2lb but this is potentially less competitive fare than the Ballybrit race and with the excellent Wayne Lordan taking over in the saddle, she's worth following in today's racing betting.

3.40 Salisbury

Crystal Hope to Win and Each Way @ 4/1 – BET NOW

This daughter of Nathaniel showed improved form when scoring on her seasonal bow at Sandown in April, making short enough work of her novice rivals over 1m2f on good to soft ground.

She then stepped up into Listed company and finished third behind Sea Of Class and Athena, both of which have since gone on and graduated to become Group 1 winners. That gives the form a strong look to it and, typically, Sir Michael Stoute has been patient with his filly since.

With her dam a half-sister to the likes of Crystal Ocean and Hillstar, there's plenty reason to believe that Crystal Hope will be climbing the ladder soon enough and she's fancied to come back from her midsummer break ready to strike.
