The concluding afternoon of the St Leger Festival takes place at Doncaster on Saturday afternoon and is of course headlined by the final British Classic of the year at 15:35.

That's part of a seven-race Doncaster card from 13:15-17:10 and it promises to be an excellent afternoon. We've picked out our best bets on the Doncaster card, including in the St Leger itself.

Reach For The Moon to win and each-way - BET NOW

The Champagne Stakes can go to in-form connections in John & Thady Gosden and Frankie Dettori, who have already tasted plenty of success at Doncaster this week. They team up here with Royal runner Reach For The Moon, winner of last month's Solario Stakes at Sandown in very stylish fashion.

Second to Point Lonsdale in the Chesham at Royal Ascot in June, that form looks very smart now, and July's Newbury novice win has received multiple form-boosts since, including from runner-up Harrow here on Thursday.

This Sea The Stars colt could be destined for the very top and, while Gimcrack winner Lusail is a worthy adversary, Reach For The Moon should have his measure before a possible Dewhurst attempt at Newmarket next month.

Hurricane Lane to win and each-way - BET NOW

His only defeat thus far came in the Epsom Derby and Hurricane Lane has atoned for that since, winning the Irish Derby and the Grand Prix De Paris.

At the Curragh, this son of Frankel was gutsy to go after Lone Eagle after Frankie Dettori attempted to pinch the race from the front on the home bend. There was an inevitability about the outcome as Hurricane Lane closed steadily late on.

Then at Longchamp he simply outclassed some good opposition by cruising six lengths clear to double his Group 1 tally. Alenquer finished second to Mishriff in York's Juddmonte International subsequently, advertising that French form.

Charlie Appleby had this race as the target ever since and his colt should be primed to give the Godolphin handler a first taste of Classic glory on Town Moor, with Hurricane Lane set to relish this long trip on pedigree.

Saturday Doncaster Prediction

Doncaster 16:05

Tyson Fury to win and each-way - BET NOW

Tyson Fury was a C&D winner on debut last season before attempting the St Leger on only his second appearance, where he was duly outclassed.

A 1m4f Ascot novice success followed in October and his first two runs this season were tough assignments in Group 3/Listed company.

He made a better fist of things two weeks ago at Newmarket on his return from a short break and should be sharper for that effort. He's been dropped 2lb and is fancied to thrive being back at Doncaster. There's more mileage in him yet.

Saturday Doncaster Long Shot

Doncaster 13:45

Count D'Orsay to win and each-way - BET NOW

The Portland Handicap is always a tough race to assess early on St Leger Day at Doncaster and this year is no exception with 22 declared to run.

My Wagyu, Hurricane Ivor, Justanotherbottle and Copper Knight are amongst the solid contenders but maybe Count D'Orsay is one to go well at a bigger price.

Tim Easterby's charge was fifth in a Group 3 at Sandown in midsummer and having been eased in the ratings since, is within 5lb of his previous win-mark. He also went close from 3lb higher at Chester back in May and he wasn't perhaps best suited down to a bare 5f at Ascot last time in the Shergar Cup Dash. The extra half-furlong here could be a plus factor if things fall right for him.
