There are no fewer than nine Grade 1 races at the Louisville track on day two of Breeders' Cup 2020 and we've got three selections from Saturday's card as the European hopefuls look to take on their hosts Stateside.

Saturday Breeders' Cup Prediction

While there are plenty of chances for cross-Atlantic raiders, the feature race of the day, the Breeders' Cup Classic, looks set to be dominated by the home crowd.

18.57 Keeneland - Maker's Mark Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Turf (Grade 1)

Cayenne Pepper to win and each-way - BET NOW

Three of the previous four winners were European-trained three-year-olds and Cayenne Pepper may add to that excellent record for trainer Jessica Harrington now.

The Australia filly had smart form as a juvenile and has progressed this season despite having to be patient for her first win of the campaign.

She finished second in her first three starts behind Magical, Even So and Tarnawa in Ireland at 1m2f/1m4f in group races but blossomed in September to win the Group 2 Blandford Stakes at the Curragh on Irish Champions Weekend in clear-cut fashion.

Shane Foley must overcome a wide berth here but, if doing so, he has a willing partner underneath him and they are perhaps underestimated in the betting with Rushing Fall heading up the market for trainer Chad Brown - winner of this race four times in the last eight years.

19.36 Keeneland - Breeders' Cup Sprint (Grade 1)

Frank's Rockette to win and each-way - BET NOW

A wide-open renewal of the Breeders' Cup Sprint and one in which Yaupon has become a clear favourite in the run-up to post-time. Steve Asmussen's unbeaten son of Uncle Mo has done all that's been asked of him and done it well, but this is a big rise in class and therefore the price is short as he takes on better horses than ever before.

The form pick would be C Z Rocket for trainer Peter Miller, who saddles the 2017 and 2018 Breeders' Cup Sprint hero Roy H, but perhaps Frank's Rockette can outrun a double-figure price.

The Into Mischief filly is on a winning streak of her own and the way she dismissed older rivals at Belmont Park in her latest run was impressive; giving away weight and sauntering some seven-lengths clear. She gets weight from the boys and is a leading player.

22.18 Keeneland - Longines Breeders' Cup Classic (Grade 1)

Tiz The Law to win and each-way - BET NOW

A 10-runner Breeders' Cup Classic field, one in which Bob Baffert is three-handed in his quest to win this race for the fourth time and extend his record-breaking efforts.

Improbable, Authentic and Maximum Security all have valid claims. Improbable floored Maximum Security at Santa Anita in the Grade 1 Awesome Again Stakes last time, swooping through the field to win by over four-lengths. Both are players and the vanquished favourite is classy enough to bounce back.

Authentic, meanwhile, beat Tiz The Law in the Kentucky Derby before getting a taste of his own medicine in the Preakness when Swiss Skydiver repelled him. This may be one dance too many for him.

After the defeat in the 'Run for the Roses', trainer Barclay Tagg quickly elected to skip the Preakness with Tiz The Law and take dead aim at this race instead.

The Belmont Stakes winner was ultra-impressive in the Travers at Saratoga in August and, after a short break, can rebound to win the Classic. Tiz The Law's only career defeats have come at Churchill Downs, ensuring he can be given a pass for September's second there in The Derby. He would be the fourth three-year-old Classic winner in seven years.
