A bumper Saturday is in store with seven meetings taking place across Britain and Ireland.
Saturday's horse racing predictions
The highlight is the second afternoon of Newmarket's Future Champions Meeting, including a red-hot Dewhurst Stakes and the Cesarewitch Handicap. They race from 13.10-16.50.
Elsewhere on the Flat it's York (13.00-16.55), Limerick (12.40-16.40) and evening all-weather action at Chelmsford (16.08-20.30). Over jumps there's graded action at Chepstow (13.40-17.42), while Hexham (12.25-16.11) and Fairyhouse (13.35-17.35) also cater for National Hunt fans.
Cadillac to win and each-way - BET NOW
A high-class Dewhurst Stakes is in prospect with unbeaten duo Chindit and Thunder Moon heading the betting for this traditional end-of-term Group 1 exam.
Both have their merits, with plenty to like on what they've done so far. Chindit cruised into the Champagne Stakes at Doncaster last month and won well for the Richard Hannon team, while Thunder Moon overcame major traffic problems with a tremendous turn of foot in the Group 1 National Stakes at the Curragh. There's not much to split them, but both will be meeting softer ground than ever before, and there are alternatives.
Jessica Harrington's Cadillac was a strong winner of the Group 2 Champions Juvenile Stakes at Leopardstown (1m, good) last month. The Lope De Vega colt was very good on debut in July and finished second in a heavy-ground Curragh Group 2 in August when favourite. He'll handle the softer ground here and his proven stamina should serve him well in the closing stages. He could improve again and sting the market leaders.
Rajinsky to win and each-way - BET NOW
The Cesarewitch is a treasured Newmarket end-of-season ritual and this year it features Great White Shark bidding to give jumps trainer Willie Mullins a third straight win in the race. That would be a remarkable feat for the handler but her form certainly suggests she has a real chance.
Progressive three-year-old Coltrane is jostling alongside her for favouritism and has claims too, albeit this is a tough environment for Andrew Balding's stamina-laden son of Mastercraftsman to take his next step.
At a solid each-way price, the alternative is Rajinsky for Tom Dascombe and Richard Kingscote.
He made fine progress in 2019, winning at Windsor (1m2f, heavy) and Wolverhampton (1m6f, AW) and returned to action in June with another pleasing Newbury third at 1m4f.
He's quickly established a liking for an out-and-out stamina test, with runner-up finishes at Newbury and York in July and August over 2m½f. He chased home Summer Moon on the Knavesmire and is 2lb better off with that rival now.
A drop back to 1m6f at Haydock last month in the fiercely competitive Old Borough Cup saw him finish ninth and leaves him perhaps under the radar coming into this battle. He could excel at this new trip and a mark of 94 gives him good prospects if that is the case.
Harem Queen to win and each-way - BET NOW
A wide open sprint in which Dakota Gold will probably burst away and lead. The Tin Man was a class act in his prime and could have a big say dropping in class, while Stewards' Cup winner Summerghand is not dismissed either.
A speculative chance is taken on Hareem Queen for the Karl Burke yard. She was progressive on the all-weather over the winter and didn't seem to give her best in a Newmarket Group 3 in June.
The return to 6f here ought to suit much better and she's still got scope for better after only a couple of runs on turf.
