There is plenty of racing action across the UK and Ireland on Thursday with five meetings scheduled to take place.

Naas (13:25-16:55) gets things started before Yarmouth (13:30-17:00) chimes alongside Ayr (13:50-17:50) and Pontefract (14:15-17:40) on a day dominated by Flat racing. Evening all-weather racing takes place at Chelmsford (16:50-20:30).

Thursday Horse Racing Treble Prediction

15:15 Yarmouth

The Trader to win and each-way - BET NOW

The Trader has some ground to make up on Prince Alex from their soft-ground Glorious Goodwood meeting in July, a race the latter won on first start after joining Michael Bell. He was gutsy to earn that verdict and isn't discounted from this 4lb higher mark, but Mark Johnston's inmate may offer better value.

His Old Borough Cup run at Haydock this month was a step back in the right direction and he comes here from an unchanged mark, 2lb below the perch from which he was successful at Hamilton back in May.

Any further drying in the ground is a positive for The Trader, as should be having the assistance of Ryan Moore in the plate for the first time.

15:25 Pontefract

Crazy Luck to win and each-way - BET NOW

Crazy Lucky and Silent Flame renew acquaintances here having finished second and third when they clashed at Salisbury (6f, good) a fortnight ago.

The Rod Millman filly was occupying second spot for the third time in a row, having also done so at Glorious Goodwood and Ascot since late July. The manner in which things played out at Salisbury ensured she had more than a hint of misfortune.

Crazy Luck was unable to get racing room when it was most required and she ran on strongly to be a fast-finishing second afterward. She's rated 1lb higher now but, assuming she gets less traffic woes this time, John Egan's mount can once more contain Silent Flame and register a deserved success after those recent near misses.

16:45 Ayr

Platinumcard to win and each-way - BET NOW

Platinumcard has really found some momentum since switching to the Flat this summer and the Kilkerran Cup Handicap over a mile-and-a-quarter at Ayr on Thursday should suit him well.

The Keith Dalgleish inmate only made his debut in this sphere as recently as June and he caused a major upset when scoring at odds of 80/1 at Hamilton over 1m1f late in that same month.

He proved that was no fluke by twice scoring here at Ayr over this distance in July and August, handling fast/slow ground equally well. When spotted most recently, he didn't quite get home over 1m4f at the same venue.

Having raced under a penalty that day, he can take aim at this contest from a 4lb lower rating and, coming back in trip, he could well have more to give over this journey.
