Day two of Glorious Goodwood features a mouth-watering tussle in the Sussex Stakes as Kameko and Siskin headline a stellar field.
The feature race goes off at 15.15, with a seven-race Goodwood card underway at 13.10 through until 16.20.
Smart Champion to win and each-way - BET NOW
This mammoth stayers handicap will require buckets of stamina and it brings last month's Ascot Stakes winner Coeur De Lion back into opposition against the like of Summer Moon (third), Smart Champion (fourth), Rochester House (fifth) and Cliffs Of Dooneen (seventh).
Alan King's winner stayed on powerfully and cannot be discounted under Thore Hammer-Hansen but preference this time is for Smart Champion.
A look back at the Ascot race showed that Callum Shepherd really did have to thread his way through plenty traffic before finally getting in the clear in the closing stages. By that moment, Coeur De Lion had already set sail for home but, in behind him, Smart Champion was just as effective in the closing stages albeit from further back in getting up for fourth spot.
That was just his fourth career start on turf and David Simcock's charge went in the notebook as one likely to collect a big prize over this sort of trip. He's 6lb better off with the winner for a defeat of just over a length and retains the scope for better; ensuring he's a fair call in this heat at the prices.
Siskin to win and each-way - BET NOW
What a contest in store here as English Guineas winner Kameko takes on Irish Classic-winning counterpart Siskin. Recent Summer Mile winner Mohaather and Queen Anne scorer Circus Maximus add some extra spice to the seven-runner field.
That being said, Kameko and Siskin may scrap this out. Andrew Balding's charge broke the track record at Newmarket in the Guineas when getting a seamless run through to foil Wichita on the line. That form is solid and he was rather luckless in The Derby since, given how that race played out.
The way he stayed on suggests stamina will be no worry for him going forward and so Siskin is fancied to maintain his perfect record now. He overcame a tactically run race and the traffic problems of encountering a host of Ballydoyle runners to win at the Curragh last month.
When Colin Keane asked him to go, the response was of the push-button variety and raw speed may be enough to undo these rivals and continue on a dream summer for the former Irish champion jockey and his boss Ger Lyons.
Spright to win and each-way - BET NOW
If Siskin is likely to use one turn of foot to land the Sussex, then it will be a different tale here for Spright in the Fillies' Conditions Stakes over the minimum trip.
The daughter of Charm Spirit made all in fine style on her second start at York recently over six-furlongs, extending more than five-lengths clear of her rivals at the line.
She did that in a good time and looks capable of further progress as she takes this step up in class. The drop in distance will allow her to make real use of that prodigious speed and on this sharp circuit she may prove very tough to reel in.
Country Carnival and Miss Jingles are worth opponents but the Karl Burke filly can burn them off in front.

Siskin to win.
Good-good to soft in places.
