Wednesday brings six race meetings across the UK and Ireland with a nice mix of jumps, Flat and all-weather action.
Nottingham (12.45-16.20) gets the ball rolling on the Flat alongside afternoon jumps cards at Fakenham (13.02-16.02), Taunton (13.40-16.40) and Punchestown (12.55-15.55). Later on there's all-weather racing at Kempton Park (16.15-20.15) and Dundalk (16.25-20.00).
Wednesday's horse racing prediction
Our racing expert has made three selections from across the cards.
Plenty In The Tank to win and each-way - BET NOW
A maiden hurdle to begin the afternoon at Fakenham and one in which it might be worth taking on the forecast favourite, Duc De Bourbon for the Paul Nicholls team. Notwithstanding the fact the Ditcheat trainer has his string in superb form, the JP McManus-owned charge was well fended off in bumpers at Wincanton and Kempton last season despite strong market support in both cases.
He's undergone a wind operation during his time off but could be running into a decent prospect in Plenty In The Tank - one of two runners for Olly Murphy here and the choice of Aidan Coleman.
He made a winning debut in a Chepstow bumper for Ed de Giles last October and changed hands for £75,000 the following month. He, too, has undergone a wind operation in his down-time and the form of that debut success was boosted as the runner-up easily won a bumper at Sedgefield on his next start and made a winning start to his hurdling career at Kelso this month.
Knight Commander to win and each-way - BET NOW
Trainer Sheila Lewis is enjoying a red-hot spell lately with her yard a perfect five-from-five over the previous fortnight.
The hat-trick seeking Knight Commander is responsible for a couple of those recent successes and is fancied to complete a treble here under claiming rider 3lb Katie Powell, who partnered him to success last week at Exeter.
The young rider would scarcely have dreamt of a better start to her career, Knight Commander travelling sweetly and coming clear without much fuss in what was Powell's first racecourse start. She has since made it two-from-two with victory on Stupid Cupid at Ludlow and can complete the hat-trick here despite Knight Commander effectively being 9lb higher in the ratings now.
Dublin Pharoah to win and each-way - BET NOW
A very competitive six-runner handicap over the mile and a half trip with lightly-raced duo Kingswear and Almighwar representing powerful connections and open to further progress for the Charlie Appleby and John Gosden teams respectively.
More is forecast too from Dublin Pharoah for trainer Roger Varian. He was a mile winner on the all-weather at Lingfield in February and probably did well enough on handicap/turf bow at Newmarket in August given the soft ground would have been something new to him.
He built on that to win at Sandown last month (1m2f, good) from a mark of 81 and should take another step up the ladder at this 1m4f trip for the first time back on the all-weather.
