Super League 2019: Round 11 Betting Tips

- 17:04, 17th April 2019
Cas head coach Daryl Powell has been forced to deal with a host of injuries in the early stages of the season.

It's the busy Easter period in Super League and the competition has given us the treat of some thrilling derby encounters. So, with bragging rights as well as points on offer, Alex Jack takes us through his selections to see who can claim the spoils.

Super League Week 11 Betting Tips

Castleford Tigers v Wakefield Trinity

(Thur 7.45pm)

Castleford to win by 1-12 @ 2/1 - BET NOW

No quarter will be asked or given when these West Yorkshire rivals do battle at the home of the Tigers on Thursday night. Cas head coach Daryl Powell has been forced to deal with a host of injuries in the early stages of the season but does welcome back forward Nathan Massey.

The Tigers will be determined to bounce back from a narrow defeat at Huddersfield Giants last time out, while Wakefield are enjoying a strong start to the campaign and secured a 30-20 win over Wigan Warriors last week.

This should be a high-scoring battle between third and fourth in the league and Wakefield will push Castleford hard. However, with home advantage and players returning to fitness, Cas might just sneak the bragging rights.

Wigan Warriors v St Helens

(Fri 3pm)

St Helens -8.5 FT handicap @ 10/11 - BET NOW

These two rivals have provided some of the best derbies in Super League history but the two sides are currently in very different places in terms of development. Reigning champions Wigan have endured a torrid start to the season, with just three wins from their 10 games so far this term.

St Helens have only been beaten on the road at the Catalans Dragons all season and they would love nothing more than to add to Wigan's woes at the DW Stadium on Good Friday. Having been well beaten by Wakefield last time out, there is not much to suggest the Warriors will be able to stop the Saints juggernaut. St Helens should not only win this but could well do it with a bit of style as they have averaged 29.1 points a game this term.

Leeds Rhinos v Huddersfield Giants

(Fri 3pm)

Leeds to win @ 8/13 - BET NOW

Like Wigan, Leeds have also struggled this season under a new head coach and David Furner will be eager to give the Rhinos' supporters something to cheer about on Friday. Leeds did record a bonus-point win over Castleford at Headingley earlier this season and will need a similar result to overcome Huddersfield.

This should be a real tussle between two sides that have only six wins between them all season. Huddersfield will take some heart from that narrow win over Cas but to do it again, and on the road this time, might be asking a bit much of the Giants.
