Leeds Rhinos will be hoping to get their first Super League points on the board when they host Hull Kingston Rovers at Headingley on Friday evening.

Leeds Rhinos vs Hull KR Betting Odds

Leeds endured a disappointing start to the new Super League season on February 2 as they crashed to a 30-4 defeat on home soil against Hull FC.

The Rhinos are expected to get up and running on Friday on the back of a two-week break after their game at Huddersfield was postponed on Sunday because of adverse weather conditions.

Leeds struggled throughout the course of last season, but they did rally late on to secure an eighth place finish in the final standings and were expected to produce an improved campaign this time around.

Hull KR fared even worse last term and avoided relegation to the Championship by virtue of a superior points' difference over bottom side London Broncos.

They started this new season on a high with a 30-12 win against Wakefield only to crash to a 25-16 defeat at the hands of local rivals Hull FC last Friday.

It's Leeds who are priced at 4/6 to come out on top in this head-to-head, while Hull KR are priced at 2/1 with the draw 22/1.

Leeds Rhinos vs Hull KR Team News

Leeds continue to be without their captain Steve Ward for the game against Hull KR as he was also set to miss last weekend's postponed clash against Huddersfield because of concussion assessments.

As a result, coach Richard Agar has gone with the same 21-man squad which was due to feature at the John Smith's Stadium until Storm Ciara intervened.

Matt Parcell is back for Hull KR following suspension and Joe Keyes has been named in the squad for the first time this season.

But, on the negative side, Adam Quinlan picked up an injury during the defeat to derby rivals Hull FC and he misses out, while Mitch Garbutt is also absent and will not face his former club.

Leeds Rhinos Winning Margin 1-5 Points @ 13/2 - BET NOW

Both sides' have an inconsistent record over their last six games stretching into last season with Leeds winning three and losing three, while the Robins have won two and lost four in that run.

Leeds have won six of the past 10 meetings to Hull KR's four so a close encounter is expected when the sides clash this week.

Hull KR put in an impressive effort in their Hull derby loss and also picked up a solid win against Wakefield so expect Tony Smith to have his side up for the showdown against his former club.

Leeds will be desperate to pick up their first two points and avoid a repeat of their struggles in 2019 and should have the edge.

Five of the head-to-heads over the past 10 games have had a winning margin of less than five points and that looks a good value bet for Friday night.
