It's a huge match at Twickenham that wraps up the penultimate round of games in the 2022 Six Nations as England host Ireland at Twickenham.

Both teams still harbour hopes of beating frontrunners France to the title and an attritional contest awaits at Rugby HQ on Saturday.

England vs Ireland Betting Odds

Ireland have not won at Twickenham in the Six Nations since back in 2018 but head to London as favourites to claim the all-important victory in this one.

Andy Farrell's side are 5/6 to win, while England are 6/5 to back up their victory against Wales last time out. A first draw between these teams since their 9-9 stalemate in the Five Nations in 1968 is available at 22/1.

England vs Ireland Team News

England head coach Eddie Jones has opted for Sam Simmonds at number eight to try and keep the powerful Irish back on their toes in defence.

Simmonds replaces Harlequins' Alex Dombrandt in the back-row, while Joe Launchbury replaces Nick Isiekwe on the bench.

Jamie George starts at hooker in the absence of Luke Cowan-Dickie, while Jamie Blamire is on the bench.

Tom Curry has come through the completed return-to-play protocols following a knock to the head against Wales but it's Courtney Lawes who will skipper this side on Saturday.

In the backline, Harry Randall keeps his spot at scrum-half, while Joe Marchant is at 13 and will partner Henry Slade in the centres.

As for Ireland, Johnny Sexton returns as one of six changes from the side that thumped Italy 57-6 last time out.

Powerful runner Bundee Aki joins Garry Ringrose in the centres, while Hugo Keenan and Andrew Conway both return.

Cian Healy is back in the front-row, while experienced lock James Ryan comes back into the second-row.

England vs Ireland Where To Watch on TV

ITV will have live coverage of England's clash against Ireland on Saturday, March 12th. Coverage begins at 16:15, with the game kicking off at 16:45.

England vs Ireland Prediction

Ireland half-time / full-time - BET NOW

odds

Ireland have proven over the last 12 months that they are capable of putting any team in world rugby to the sword.

The Irish managed to overcome New Zealand again in the autumn and were 32-18 winners the last time they faced England in Dublin.

Expect Ireland to come out of the blocks fast and they might well be leading at the sound of both the half-time and full-time whistle.

Garry Ringrose Anytime Tryscorer - BET NOW

odds

With Ake able to smash holes in the England midfield and with an impressive off-loading game to boot, Ringrose will be looking to get on the end of those potential breaks.

Ringrose has looked threatening in this tournament and it would be no surprise to see him score what would be a 12th Test try for his country. Incidentally in the 11 games when Ringrose has scored a try, Ireland have only been on the losing side once.
