I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! is one of the biggest shows on TV. The 18-year-old programme has been a before-Christmas staple on ITV since 2003 held in Australia. And even with Coronavirus and today’s current circumstances, ITV have still made sure that this year is no different. Well… almost.
If you haven’t got wind of it yet, this year’s I’m A Celebrity is being filmed at Gwrych Castle in North Wales. Perhaps not the same as a hot jungle in Australia, but there’s no doubt legendary hosts, Ant and Dec, will ensure this year’s celebrities still have plenty of horrible Bushtucker trails for the celebs to endure whilst they watch on trying not to laugh at them struggle.
The bookmakers have priced up all twelve appearing stars on our screen every evening over the coming weeks and one man is already leading the way in the betting.
I’m A Celebrity Line Up
Even though this year’s location is very different to say the least, ITV haven’t held back with the 2020 celebrity line-up. Here is this year’s I’m A Celebrity Line Up:
1. Sir Mo Farah (4x Olympic Gold Medallist)
2. Jessica Plummer (Actress in EastEnders and singer from Neon Jungle)
3. Beverley Callard (Coronation Street star)
4. AJ Pritchard (professional dancer on Strictly Come Dancing)

9. Victoria Derbyshire (Journalist, Newsreader, Broadcaster)
10. Russell Watson (Singer)
11. Ruthie Henshall (Actress, Singer, Dancer)
12. Shane Richie (Actor, Comedian, Presenter)
I’m a Celebrity Start Date
The first ever UK-based series got underway on Sunday 15th November at 9pm on ITV with ten celebrities making their way into the new camp via helicopters and taking part in abseiling challenges before they were set their first trail called Gates of Hell involving plenty of bugs and creepy crawlies.
We saw BBC Radio 1 presenter Jordan North throw up before facing the abseiling challenge, but face it he did. Coronation Street star Beverley Callard might of slowed things down in the Gates of Hell challenge, but the team worked together and managed to get seven stars.
I’m A Celebrity Location
This year’s I’m A Celeb is being filmed at Gwrych Castle in North Wales with celebrities set to face even tougher situations then previous years as they have to battle the chilly November weather. But that won’t stop the fun.
There are lots of similar aspects to the hit show but with some more relevant adaptations. They won’t be competing for ‘Dingo Dollars’ this year, but for ‘Castle Coins’ instead, and it won’t be Kiosk Kev dishing them out but Kev’s “long lost welsh cousin” Kiosk Cledwyn.
Trails will be taking place in various locations in and around the castle, including the dungeons and the crypt. Due to the change in time difference, this year’s series will see the trails take place at night after the live show. A trail at night time in the UK, in November can’t be pleasant.
If the celebs fancy a show this year, then they’ll have to use the hand-operated shower. Each celeb will need to be accompanied by a fellow camp mate to work the shower while they wash. Let’s hope no one gets stage fright!
I’m A Celebrity Bushtucker Trail
Bushtucker Trails are the best part of I’m A Celebrity…Get me out of here! (other than Ant and Dec’s quality comedy value, of course)
Bushtucker trails are challenges the celebrities must complete to earn food and treats for their team-mates in camp. The trails come in the formats of either an eating trail or physical/mental tasks whereby the celebs face their fears in order to collect stars.
These trails are made even more entertaining depending on which celebrity is chosen by the general public. And if there are any team-mates in the camp this year who will be like the Katie Price’s and Jillian McKeith’s, we are in for a treat!
I’m A Celebrity Betting Odds
With I'm A Celebrity now approaching the end, there are three stars left in this year's competition and are in the running to be crowned King or Queen of the castle. The remaining stars are: Jordan North, Vernon Kay and Giovanna Fletcher.
The bookies favourite is Jordan North to win at 11/10.
Bolton’s finest, Vernon Kay, who says his role in camp is keeping spirits up, is still in the bookies top three favourites at odds of 7/1.
Whislt Giovanna Fletcher is sitting as the bookies second favourite at 6/5.
