Ross’ Recommended Betting Tips

*Tips made on the opening week of the live shows*

ANDREA FAUSTINI @ 9/4 – BET NOW (Still in now 9/2)

STEREO KICKS @ 5/1 – OUT

BEN HAENOW @ 6/1 – BET NOW (Still in now 11/8)

It has been a long time since a big male voice has won X Factor. For me though, these two rasping male voices look value to win the show. We have had six male winners in the show after 10 years so the trends are on our side too.

Andrea Faustini may be from Italy but he now resides in the UK and boy does he have a killer voice! His range is phenomenal and his song choices thus far have been spot on. The fact he is not English should bear no outcome in my opinion and if it does affect his chances – shame on us. Remember a Hungarian group once won Britain’s Got Talent, however!

Ben has an incredible rock and soul voice – I think Simon can choose great songs for him both modern and classic. He seems likable and offers more personality than Paul – which is why I have gone for him ahead of last year’s rejected contestant.

The fact Louis Walsh is in charge of Stereo Kicks does worry me somewhat but if you were after something different this series you can do worse than backing this manufactured eight-piece. Their very first live performance brought Wembley Arena to its knees and that shows the potential of these fresh faced desperados.

To Be Eliminated This Week

Lauren Platt @ 10/11 - BET NOW

After last week's tip was so close - I tipped Lauren to leave last week - but she survived a deadlock against Stereo Kicks. This time around she is against Andrea, Fleur and Ben. I expect her to be in the bottom two on votes and this time around, surely the other three have proved to be more consistent. Back her to go this week!

The Contenders

Girls

LAUREN PLATT @ 12/1 – BET NOW

This 17 year-old has been described as an old soul by Cheryl Cole and she certainly has a voice beyond her years. She has seen her odds lengthen from 3/1 to 10/1 in recent weeks. A great talent for sure but perhaps it's a case of much too much, much too young for Lauren.

Over 25s

FLEUR EAST @ 7/4 – BET NOW

Fleur is the one success story in a field of lengthening odds. Her best price has shortened to 7/4 from 14/1 just five weeks ago. She truly is the all-round performer with amazing dancing, singing and rapping. She is yet to perform flawlessly all three for that wow performance but her confidence is growing and she is definitely in with a shout. The bookies even made the huge market move to make her favourite to win the show ahead of Andrea and Ben last week. Her price has lengthened again since - she is now second favourite.
