Great Britain will expect much of Kyle Edmund, who reached the semi-finals of the recent Australian Open, when they take on Spain in Marbella in the Davis Cup.

Spain

Davis Cup Outright @ 4/1 - BET NOW

With Andy Murray still sidelined with a hip injury, Spain will be expected to triumph against a British side that will be utlising the services of Cameron Norrie, Liam Broady and doubles specialists Jamie Murray and Dominic Inglot.

Spain have five players in the world’s top 50 in their team - Pablo Carreno Busta, Roberto Bautista Agut, Albert Ramos Vinolas, David Ferrer and Feliciano Lopez - and should be far too strong for Great Britain.

Croatia

Davis Cup Outright @ 5/1 - BET NOW

One week after reaching the final in Melbourne, Marin Cilic will be involved in Croatia’s attempts to progress in the Davis Cup when they take on Canada on indoor clay in Osijek.

Croatia could be dark horses to win the competition this year as they are able to call on Borna Coric again. He has not played for his country since being overlooked for selection in the 2016 Davis Cup Final in Zagreb on his return from injury.

Canada have not won an away tie in the Davis Cup since 2011, when they beat Israel, but have a strong team which includes Denis Shapovalov, Vasek Pospisil, Peter Polansky and Daniel Nestor - but Croatia should edge this one.

France

Davis Cup Outright @ 3/1 - BET NOW

Defending champions France have a talented group of players to choose from for their clash with the Netherlands in Albertville.

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Lucas Pouille, Richard Gasquet, Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Nicolas Mahut have all been included as the French begin their attempt to win the Davis Cup for an 11th time.

France have met the Dutch on 10 previous occasions and have won them all so it is unlikely that a Netherlands team that includes Robin Haase, Tallon Griekspoor, Thiemo De Bakker and Jean-Julien Rojer will be strong enough to reach the World Group quarter-finals for the first time since 2005.

Belgium

Davis Cup Outright @ 12/1 - BET NOW

Last year’s runners-up Belgium begin their 2018 Davis Cup campaign against Hungary in Liege, led by David Goffin.

Steve Darcis is injured so the Belgian team looks much weaker this time though with Julien Cagnina, Ruben Bemelmans and Joris De Loorall set to be involved against Hungary who can call on the services of the in-form Marton Fucsovics, who reached the fourth round of the Australian Open.

Australia

Australia and Germany are two potential winners of this year’s Davis Cup and they meet in Brisbane this weekend.

Australia have reached the semi-finals in two of the past three years and their line-up once again appears to be one of the best in the competition with Jordan Thompson, John Millman, Alex De Minaur and John Peers teaming up with star man Nick Kyrgios.

Germany’s team includes world number four Alexander Zverev, Jan-Lennard Struff, Peter Gojowczyk and Tim Puetz but home advantage looks set to count in this tie.
