French Open Women's odds

The French Open is also known as the Roland-Garros, which is a very well known tennis event, played on clay and held over a two week period at the Stade Roland Garros in Paris.

It is one of the all time greatest tennis tournaments alongside the likes of: Australian Open, Wimbledon Championships and US Open. The prize money for the women's singles is 2.2 million euros ($2.32 million).

It comprises of singles, doubles and mixed doubles play. The tournament began in 1897 and has been held every year apart from the years 1915 to 1919 where no tournament was held due to the World War.

The tennis tournament started before doubles made an appearance. Doubles arrived in 1907.

French Open 2022 Schedule

The French Open is played on clay courts, which has been said benefits players, for example, clay allows tennis players to slide into position which has less impact and therefore should save some of their energy.

When players change ends, they get a maximum if 90 seconds rest. A good opportunity to place a bet from your account if the game has taken an unexpected turn. Perhaps the underdog is leading.

Another difference with a clay court is the tennis ball itself. The majority of clay tennis tournaments use the same ball called "The Dunlop Fort Clay Court" ball, whereas Roland Garros is played with "Wilson French Open" balls.
