The WTA Finals begin on Sunday as the eight best female players face off in the season-ending finale in its new home of Shenzhen, China.

WTA Finals Betting Odds

The bookies have Ashleigh Barty, Naomi Osaka and rising star Bianca Andreescu as the joint-favourites with the trio all a best price of 4/1 to emerge victorious in Shenzhen.

Wimbledon winner Simona Halep is 7/1, while Karolina Pliskova, defending champion Elina Svitolina and Petra Kvitova are all available at 8/1.

Belinda Bencic is priced at 14/1 and first alternate Kiki Bertens is 500/1. That price is justified when you think the Dutch star needs one of the aforementioned eight players to pull out if she is to feature in China.

WTA Finals Outsider Tips

Belinda Bencic outright @ 14/1 - BET NOW

Swiss star Bencic is the only real option for anyone looking for an outside option but there is a real case to be made for the tournament debutante.

Bencic has enjoyed her most successful campaign to date and sits at a career-high seventh in the WTA rankings.

The 22-year-old reached a first ever Grand Slam semi-final at the US Open and won the Dubai Championship at the start of the year - beating Kvitova in the final.

That success came during a 12-match winning run earlier this year, her longest-ever streak of victories. During that time she also overcame Halep, Svitolina, Osaka and Pliskova along the way and they are all players she could meet in Shenzhen.

Bencic has winning head-to-head records against Osaka (4-1), Pliskova (1-0), Halep (2-1) and Svitolina (2-1) and is a match for anyone on her day, and her price represents real value in the outright market.

WTA Finals Prediction

Naomi Osaka outright @ 4/1 - BET NOW

Former world number one Osaka suffered a real dip in form after landing the Australian Open at the start of the year but remains a dangerous player.

The Japanese hopeful struggled at both the French Open and Wimbledon but has begun to raise her levels again since the WTA Tour returned to her favoured hard-court surface and reached the fourth round of the US Open.

The 22-year-old claimed her first title since Melbourne at the Pan Pacific Open in Japan and then triumphed in the China Open this month, beating Barty in the final, and should head to the WTA Finals in confident mood.

Osaka did fail to win a match last year in her first appearance in the tournament and that is a concern, but on current form, she looks a strong contender for the title in 2019.
