Wales head into week four of the 2019 Six Nation sitting at the top of the standings and we take a look at the betting opportunities with these Six Nations tips.
Wales to win by 1-12 points @ 7/4 -BET NOW
It would be a brave man to bet against Wales taking this one at Murrayfield, and the Six Nations odds on an away victory are 4/7, so it may be better to look for the value in the winning margin. The Scots lost by nine points to Ireland while they went down 27-10 to France, but the sight of a red Welsh shirt will surely inspire the hosts to raise their game on Saturday.
Wales will still be on a high after beating England - their biggest obstacle to a Grand Slam - and will have too much for Gregor Townsend’s men, but I expect this one to be closer than some might expect. They will be missing Sean Maitland and Chris Harris while the Dragons have made just one change from the side that downed the Red Rose, but the men from north of the border will battle throughout the 80 minutes.
England to win by 31-35 points @ 7/1 - BET NOW
England are, unsurprisingly, 1/100 to win this one and Six Nations betting should probably focus on the winning margin once again. It is true that the Azzurri only lost by 11 points to Wales but that was on their own patch, and they may find England out to prove a point at Twickenham.
Eddie Jones’ men have already thrashed France 44-8 in west London and I expect them to run riot once again on home soil. Nailing down the winning margin will be tough, as Italy have shown glimpses of their fighting spirit, and an England winning margin of 16-20 points at 10/1 appeals. The men in white have been touted as possible World Cup winners later this year and they will need to be ruthless to lift the trophy for a second time. That is what is required here - get the job done in empathic style and move on to the next match. It may not quite be a cricket score, but expect plenty of tries by the hosts.
France +14 handicap @ 1/1 - BET NOW
What threatened to be a decent campaign for Les Blues after a tough loss to Wales in their opener seems to have petered out following the humiliating defeat to England. They have just the one win - against Scotland - and it is difficult to see them overcoming Ireland in Dublin.
Always enigmatic, the French have the ability to keep this close for a while and might be able to please backers in this market by lifting their game on Sunday. The Irish still have hopes of winning the title and will be looking for as many points as possible, but France should be able to limit the damage.
