New Orleans Saints @ Atlanta Falcons
New Orleans Saints to win – Bet Now
The New Orleans Saints are under first-year head coach Dennis Allen after Sean Payton left the team at the end of last season. The Saints still have plenty of question marks around the starting quarterback position as Jameis Winston is coming off of a serious injury that stopped his 2021 season. Winston has several top offensive weapons to play with this season. It could lead to a playoff spot come January.
While the Saints have question marks around them, the Falcons are rebuilding. The issues the Falcons face should prevent them from getting the best of a Saints defence that was strong at the end of the 2021 campaign.
Allen brings continuity to the Saints after being promoted from within. New Orleans should be able to pick up the win versus Atlanta. They go into the game as the bookies’ favourite at odds of 10/23.
Atlanta should be competitive, but ultimately struggle to win games this season. A fourth-place finish in the four-team NFC South is possible.
Pittsburgh Steelers @ Cincinnati Bengals
Cincinnati Bengals to win – Bet Now
The rivalry between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals dates back to the old AFC Central Division. These are two teams that do not like each other.
Cincinnati reached the Super Bowl last season where they lost to the LA Rams 23-20. Quarterback Joe Burrow is back and big things are expected from him. Cincinnati’s offensive line has been upgraded, but it remains to be seen if Burrow will be protected.
The Bengals are favourites at 5/14 to win the game at the end of regulation. Games between Pittsburgh and Cincinnati are never straightforward, however. The Steelers are led by quarterback Mitchell Trubisky. Although Trubisky is an upgrade over Ben Roethlisberger, who was poor last season, the new signal caller could struggle against Cincinnati away.
The Bengals won’t get the underdog status they did last season. Teams know how good the Bengals are now. It feels like Cincinnati could have a Super Bowl hangover. However, this team is young and Burrow has some top-notch playmakers around him. Our betting tips prediction is for a Bengals win.
New England @ Miami Dolphins
Miami Dolphins to win– Bet Now
The Miami Dolphins are looking to make a statement in NFL Week 1 versus the New England Patriots. First-year head coach Mike McDaniel took the reins of the Dolphins in the offseason. Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is looking to be more consistent as rumours speculate the Dolphins are looking to move on from the former first-round pick.
Miami are the favourites to win according to bookies. Playing at home should give Miami an upper hand over the Pats. However, New England are a constant thorn in Miami’s side. Mac Jones will be under centre for the Pats for the second straight season. He led them to the playoffs last season and could be good enough to do it once more.
Miami’s offence was upgraded in the offseason with the acquisition of Tyreek Hill. He should make Tagovailoa more explosive as a quarterback. Some NFL experts expect a regression by the Pats.
New England don’t play well in Miami against the Dolphins. Their last two trips to south Florida ended in defeats. Miami won both match-ups last season versus New England and should do it once more on Sunday.
Las Vegas Raiders @ Los Angeles Chargers
Las Vegas Raiders to win – Bet Now
The AFC West is arguably the best division in the NFL. The Kansas City Chiefs are tipped to win the Super Bowl by some NFL experts. Yet, the Las Vegas Raiders, Los Angeles Chargers, and Denver Broncos will all have a shot at winning the AFC West and making the playoffs.
The Raiders have a difficult trip to start the season as they travel to LA to play the Chargers. New head coach Josh McDaniels will count on veteran quarterback Derek Carr to lead this team to the playoffs. Wide receiver Davante Adams joined Las Vegas in the offseason, making them a potentially dangerous offensive team.
Quarterback Justin Herbert will lead an armed and dangerous Chargers team. The Chargers are one of the favourites to win the Super Bowl this season. But in such a strong division, it is argued that these teams will simply beat up on each other.
The Chargers are the favourite at odds of 20/37. The Raiders have won three of their last five games versus the Chargers. Last season, Las Vegas won at home but lost in LA 28-14. Our betting tips prediction is for an upset in this game with Las Vegas picking up the win over the Chargers. The Raiders have a 67-56 record against the Chargers ahead of this one.
Green Bay Packers @ Minnesota Vikings
Green Bay Packers to win – Bet Now
The Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings have one of the longest-running, most intense rivalries in the NFL. These NFC North rivals will battle for the 123 times with Green Bay winning 64 games and Minnesota winning 56 times.
Last season’s NFL Most Valuable Player, Aaron Rodgers, will lead out the Packers. Wide receiver Devante Adams is now with Las Vegas, limiting Rodgers’ offensive weapons. Even without Adams, the Packers are the favourites to win the NFC North.
Rodgers is just 7-7 versus the Vikings. However, Minnesota have a first-year head coach (Kevin O’Connell). He will need to learn quickly to get the Vikings up to speed. Our betting tips prediction is for Green Bay to win Week 1 and to show us why experts like the Packers to win the Super Bowl.
