England and New Zealand’s enthralling one-day series comes to an end at Chester-le-Street on Saturday morning with the series tied at two-all with one game to play. England have been breaking records left, right and centre but Tom Powell thinks it’ll be New Zealand that win the decider…

The match odds are very equal heading into the last game of the series and so now is the time to back the Blackcaps. Previous encounters have seen the tourists go off at around odds of 4/6 and 2/5 but after England’s remarkable chase in Nottingham the home side are around evens in this final encounter.
England are still a touch inconsistent, especially on the bowling front with New Zealand having the measure of them so far in the series. Of course, England have also put the opposition bowling attack to the sword but I just feel New Zealand have more options to call upon to bowl while beyond England’s three seamers they are short of options.
Equally, in terms of England’s batting they continue to rely on one or two key men for runs. Eoin Morgan and Joe Root have got big scores during the series with one or two others chipping in but at times they still look prone to collapsing and giving away their wickets.
Elsewhere, Tim Southee looks value to be New Zealand’s top wicket taker, especially with Trent Boult sidelined. The left-armer managed 1-70 at Trent Bridge, not great stats but he was still the most economical of the New Zealand bowlers.
