Pakistan may have triumphed comfortably in the opening test but they are an inconsistent side and so Australia are worthy favourites to level the series in Abu Dhabi.

Australia remain second in the test rankings, four places ahead of their opponents plus Australia’s recent test record has been superb with just one defeat in eight tests prior to the 221 run loss in this series’ opening test.

As for Pakistan, they haven’t managed a test series victory since beating England in the UAE back in 2011/12 with 3-0 and 2-0 defeats in series against Sri Lanka and South Africa since then plus a disappointing 1-1 draw in Zimbabwe.

In the top batsman betting David Warner is favourite to top score for the visitors after hitting 133 in the first innings of the first test while Younis Khan hit centuries in both innings for Pakistan so is 10/3 to top score for the hosts. Mitchell Johnson took three first innings wickets and is 7/4 to be Australia’s top bowler though slow left-armer Steve O’Keefe could be value at 7/2 after taking four wickets over both innings to finish as Australia’s top bowler in the match.
