Leeds v Derby TipsRoss Casey - 13:01, 10th January 2017
Both Leeds and Derby are having very positive seasons in the Championship, but who will come out on top when the two sides meet at Elland Road on Friday night? Our football tipster Ross Casey offers his betting tips for this LIVE clash on Sky Sports…
Leeds v Derby Tips (Fri, 19:45, SS1)
Who are the favourites?
The bookies make Leeds favourites to win this match, with Garry Monk’s side a best price 17/10 to pick up all three points at Elland Road.
Leeds are currently unbeaten in six matches and were able to rest a few key players on Monday when they beat Cambridge Utd in the FA Cup ahead of this fixture.
They have won eight home games already this season and only two sides in the Championship have conceded less home goals than the Leeds defence so far, so their form coming into this match is impressive.
Derby however, have a huge advantage in that they played their FA Cup game on Saturday, where they defeated Premier League West Brom away from home. That victory means that the Rams have lost just one of their last 12 games in all competitions under Steve McLaren.

What’s your recommended bet?
This is a very tough match to call, but for me I give Derby the edge here purely based upon the fact they have had more time to recuperate from their previous fixture and are on a great run themselves with just one loss in 12.
I do worry about the fact they have lost four on the road this Championship season, including a hammering from Norwich recently, so I am backing the Rams (who have just bought Championship stalwart David Nugent) in the draw no bet market.
This means we will get our money back for a draw and only lose our bet if the impressive Leeds win their ninth home game of the Championship season.
Back Derby at a best price of 21/20 in the draw no bet market.
Why use Easyodds to bet on this match?
I’m not necessarily sure that punters realise the importance of our odds comparison service…
For example, if you fancy Derby’s Bradley Johnson to score (and he is facing his former club in this one) then he is available at a worst price of 9/2 – or you can use our odds comparison and get a far better price of 11/2. Why wouldn’t you use our site to peruse the anytime goalscorer market and ensure you get the best possible odds?
