Luis Suarez is out of contract at Atletico Madrid. The Uruguay international is now in search of a new club this transfer window. Suarez scored 11 goals in 35 La Liga appearances last season for Los Rojiblancos. Steven Gerrard played with Suarez at Liverpool before leaving the club for LA Galaxy. The Liverpool legend knows just how deadly Suarez can be in front of goal. Gerrard wants to sign Suarez at Aston Villa to add more goals to the attack. The Villa Park club currently lead the race to sign the Uruguay international.

In June, Argentina club, River Plate, held talks with Suarez over a contract. Suarez may not be ready to trade European football for South America just yet. Italy's Atalanta also through their hats into the race to sign Suarez this month. Lazio have also been offered Suarez this summer. AC Milan are still looking to add further attacking players.
