Tammy Abraham is coming off of a fantastic debut season for Roma in Serie A. Now, the former Chelsea striker is wanted by clubs in England once more. It is amazing what a season outside of the Premier League will do for a player. In one season, Abraham went from being a benchwarmer for Chelsea to one of the most sought after strikers in Europe.

A transfer for Abraham won't come cheap. The striker joined Roma in the summer of 2021 after Chelsea signed Romelu Lukaku. While Abraham soared to new heights and helped Roma win the European Conference League trophy, Lukaku floundered in the Premier League once more.

Abraham scored a goal in exactly half of his appearances for Roma in all competitions. The Giallorossi paid £36 million for the former Chelsea striker. If the England international is to leave Rome, whichever team steps up to the plate will likely need to pay in excess of £45 million.

Tammy Abraham Betting Odds

The football clubs linked to sign Abraham this summer transfer window will need to have plenty of money. Roma paid £36 million for Abraham in the summer of 2021. His excellent form this past season and the price the Giallorossi paid means the transfer fee will be large.

Abraham is currently valued at £45 million after scoring 26 goals in 52 matches in all competitions for Roma last term. Here is a look at the club odds to sign up Abraham this summer:

Tammy Abraham Transfer News

Liverpool are shock leaders to sign up Abraham this summer. The Reds have just signed Darwin Nunez from Benfica, making Abraham's move to Merseyside highly unlikely. In early June, Abraham apparently told Liverpool right back Trent Alexander Arnold that he was "joining him next season". This quote has led many journalists and bookies to believe Abraham will sign for Liverpool.

The Reds are not the only team to be linked with a move for Abraham. More recently, Manchester United have been linked with a move for the striker. The Red Devils are desperate to add another goal scorer to the team. They could turn their attention to the Roma player.

In May, Arsenal were linked with Abraham in May. The Gunners have been on the trail of Gabriel Jesus at Manchester City, but could turn their attention to the Serie A goal scorer. West Ham are in need of another striker. The club was reliant on Michail Antonio last season. A small squad led to the Hammers falling off the pace for Champions League qualification.

New money Newcastle United are also in the hunt for strong attacking players. The Magpies have not made an attacking signing this summer. Could they be putting together a package to buy Abraham?

Why Could Tammy Abraham Be Leaving Roma?

Roma coach Jose Mourinho believes Abraham could leave Roma if he wants to this summer. The striker had a fantastic season in Italy helping the Giallorossi win the Europa Conference League.

Abraham became a star with Roma and the supporters fell in love with him. The striker could stay at Roma, which is likely to happen, and become a club legend. Of course, he will need to continue banging in goals.

The desire to return to England could motivate Abraham to ask for a transfer. His asking price won't come cheap for whichever team tries to sign him. Having failed to make his mark at Stamford Bridge for Chelsea, Abraham could leave Roma to make his mark in England.

Abraham's excellent form led to him being included in England's UEFA Nations League team this summer. If he wants to be a part of the World Cup team in November, Abraham could move back to the Premier League. Gareth Southgate may not select Abraham if the striker remains in Italy. Southgate may only select players he regularly sees in person.

Could Tammy Abraham Move Back to the Premier League?

Yes, but it seems unlikely that a Premier League club would pony up the cash to sign him. Leicester City, Manchester United, Newcastle United, Aston Villa, and Arsenal are just five Premier League teams in need of a goal scoring No. 9.

If these five teams do not sign a striker in the football market this summer, they could splurge for Abraham. Once again, the price for the striker won't come cheap after his 26 goals in 2021-22.

Playing time will be a major factor in whether Abraham moves back to the Premier League. Regardless of playing well and scoring goals and Chelsea, the Blues were never fully behind him. Roma are behind Abraham, but playing at the World Cup next November could influence his decision to move back to the Premier League.

Arsenal certainly have a need for a No. 9. They allowed Pierre Emerick Aubameyang to leave for Barcelona last January and Alexandre Lacazette left this summer. Manager Mikel Arteta wants to sign Gabriel Jesus, but could turn his attention to Abraham. Arsenal did not qualify for the Champions League last season. It could be difficult to lure Abraham back to England without Champions League football.

Are Chelsea Interested in the Signing Tammy Abraham?

Chelsea have never been afraid to re-sign a player after previously selling him. The Blues re-signed Romelu Lukaku last summer after selling him in 2014. The Stamford Bridge club could bring Abraham back to the club, but they would need to pay more for him than they sold him for 12 months ago.

Chelsea are able to sign up new players after being taken over by new owners in May. The Blues are ready to cash in on Lukaku now. Chelsea have turned their attention to Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus this summer.

Abraham likely feels some animosity towards Chelsea. Sure, there is love for the club that signed him at 8 years old, but Chelsea were never behind him. The Blues always sought to move Abraham on to another club whether it was through a loan or permanent transfer. The likelihood of Abraham ever returning to Chelsea are slim. However, never say never in the world of top level football. In an interview with BT Sport, Abraham claimed he is "more than happy here" when asked about playing in Rome.

Tammy Abraham Transfer Fee

Chelsea sold Abraham to Roma for £36 million last summer. The striker is valued at £45 million. Whichever club aims to buy Abraham this summer will need to pay in excess of £45 million. Due to Abraham's importance to Roma, the Italians are unlikely to let him go unless they have a replacement sorted out first.

The Englishman's value of £45 million is likely to increase once more if he starts the season well for Roma. Abraham will be Mourinho's first choice striker from day No. 1 in preseason. Roma will begin their preseason games on July 30. Abraham may not be in the squad following international duty. However, he will be involved at some point as Roma have high profile friendlies versus Tottenham Hotspur and Barcelona scheduled.

Tammy Abraham Salary

In 2021-22, Abraham was the second highest paid player at Roma. The England international earned €110,962 a week last term. He earned an annual salary of €5.8 million. Abraham is currently on a five year contract at Roma. If Abraham leaves Roma for an English Premier League team, he will likely double or treble his wages. Thanks to a 26 goal season at Roma, Abraham is in demand.

How Old Is Tammy Abraham?

Abraham is 24 years old. He will turn 25 in October 2022. Abraham came through the Chelsea academy as a teenager and made his debut in May 2016. The striker originally joined Chelsea at the under 8 year old level.

Which Clubs Are Interested In Tammy Abraham?

Aston Villa, Man Utd, Arsenal, Newcastle United, and Leicester City are all linked with the striker. Liverpool surprisingly lead the bookies' betting odds, but after Roma were taken to the cleaners by the Reds for Mohamed Salah and Alisson Becker, it is highly unlikely the Anfielders will sign him.

In addition, Liverpool signed Darwin Nunez in June. Roma football fans are desperate for Abraham to remain at the club. Roma won the Europa Conference League last season with Abraham scoring eight goals in 12 games.

If Abraham remains at Roma, the Giallorossi should battle for Champions League qualification. Mourinho will aim to improve the team in the summer transfer market. Roma could be one or two players away from fighting for the Serie A title.

Tammy Abraham Clubs

Abraham started his career at Stamford Bridge. He joined Chelsea at the under 8 level and progressed through the academy. His debut season was in 2016 when he came off the bench against Liverpool.

After training with Chelsea's first team in 2015-16, Abraham moved to Bristol City on loan. His form at Bristol City led to a loan at Swansea City the next season. An up and down campaign with the Swans then led to a third consecutive loan.

In 2018-19, Abraham signed for Aston Villa and set Villa Park on fire. With Jack Grealish setting up the goals, Abraham finished them, netting 25 goals. His scoring led to Aston Villa winning the EFL Championship playoffs to gain promotion to the Premier League.

Chelsea brought Abraham back to west London in 2019. His time at Chelsea was start and stop, however. Despite scoring 30 goals in two seasons, Abraham couldn't get regular playing time as Chelsea continued to look elsewhere for strikers.
