West Ham’s four-game Premier League unbeaten run was ended last weekend by Liverpool. The Hammers fell 2-1 after taking an early lead. Now, David Moyes team host cross-London rival Fulham on Saturday in a big six-point fixture between the clubs.

Moyes’ team may have been on a four-game unbeaten run in the league, but they have still taken just eight points from 21 possible. They sit five points above the bottom three. Based on the poor performances of the teams at the bottom of the table, West Ham could retain their Premier League status due to the pitiful points totals accrued by those teams below them in the standings.

Fulham are coming off of their first Premier League win of the season on Monday night against West Brom. It was a massive six-point fixture and the Cottagers got out of the relegation zone thanks to the victory. Scott Parker’s team have taken just four points from 21 possible. A win against West Ham would give Fulham some breathing space, but not much.

The last time West Ham and Fulham played in the Premier League was the 2018-19 campaign. West Ham won both matches by a combined score of 5-1. Can West Ham continue their excellent form versus Fulham?

West Ham vs Fulham Betting Odds

West ham are on a two-game unbeaten run at the London Stadium. They have taken four points from nine possible at home. After an opening day 2-0 loss to Newcastle United, West Ham won versus Wolverhampton Wanderers 4-0 before claiming a 1-1 draw versus Manchester City. West Ham are +2 in goal difference at home with five goals scored and three conceded.

Fulham’s road form has been atrocious. Just one point from nine has been taken by the Cottagers. That draw came in their last road fixture versus Sheffield United at Bramall Lane, 1-1. Fulham’s defensive form on the road hasn’t been as bad as it could be. They have allowed six goals to opponents away from home, while scoring four goals. Just once on the road have Fulham been held scoreless.

The last time these teams met at the London Stadium in 2018-19, the Hammers claimed a 3-1 win. The Hammers were up 2-1 at the halftime break. Javier Hernandez, who long ago left West Ham scored to cancel out a Ryan Babel strike. Issa Diop and Michail Antonio both scored for West Ham to help them gain the win.

West Ham vs Fulham Team News

Parker has four players on the injury list at Craven Cottage. The manager is expected to be without three of those players. Neeskens Kebano is recovering from a knock and could play a part in the game on Saturday. Meanwhile, Kenny Tete, Terence Kongolo and Joshua Onomah are all ruled out of the team.

Parker is also without Aboubaker Kamara due to a red card suspension. He won’t be available for selection until after the international break. Parker needs his top attacking player Aleksandar Mitrovic to get on the scoresheet to help Fulham get all three points. Mitrovic has just two goals in seven matches which is level with fellow forward Bobby Reid.

West Ham have just one injury problem heading into the game on Saturday. Striker Michail Antonio is ruled out for the time being due to a thigh injury. Antonio has no return date set at the moment. Antonio is joint-leader in the goals department for West Ham with three strikes. He is level on goals with Jarrod Bowen.

Midfielder Pablo Fornals has two goals and two assists in seven appearances. He claimed West Ham’s goal versus Liverpool last weekend. West Ham couldn’t keep up with the power of Liverpool’s attack in the game at Anfield. They should not have that problem against Fulham.

Both teams to score - BET NOW

Three straight West Ham league games finished with both teams finding the back of the net. Jarrod Bowen to score anytime - BET NOW

Twenty-three-year-old Jarrod Bowen has become a dependable Premier League player since arriving from Hull City. The forward has tallied three goals in seven appearances for the club. He averages a goal every 199 minutes of league football. Moyes deploys Bowen on the right side of midfield and will most likely play him from the start again on Saturday. With Antonio out of action, Bowen could come up with a goal when the teams meet. Bowen has played against Fulham on four occasions in his career and scored three times.

Over 2.5 goals scored - BET NOW

Five of West Ham’s last six games in the league finished with over 2.5 goals scored. That includes last weekend’s loss away to Liverpool at Anfield. The Hammers have scored 13 times in the league this term averaging 1.9 goals per game. They have conceded 10 times for an average of 1.4 strikes per game.

Fulham have had four of their seven games in the league finish with over 2.5 goals tallied. The Cottagers’ defence has struggled for much of the season, although it looks to have improved recently. The reason for the improvement is most likely down to the quality of competition.

The last time these teams played at the London Stadium, West Ham claimed a 3-1 win as over 2.5 goals were scored. The Hammers should claim a win on Saturday evening versus Fulham at home to move three points further away from the relegation zone. West Ham may have been derailed last weekend versus Liverpool, but should return to their unbeaten ways at Fulham’s expense.
